Submission season without the fire drill.
COMPASS keeps HUD fields as part of ordinary casework, exports the HMIS CSV set your HMIS Lead ingests, and tells you what is missing before it leaves.
Your history comes with you.
Bulk import from an HMIS CSV export. Clients, enrollments, exits, income and benefits, disabilities, health and domestic violence.
This is the part most evaluations never get past, and it is the part that already works. Harbor Hope Center moved their full client history into COMPASS this way.
Built to the FY2026 specification.
Generated server side, against the specification that took effect in October 2025. Client records, enrollments, exits, income and benefits, disabilities, health and domestic violence, and the project descriptor files that describe your programs.
This is not your APR.
Two different files get confused constantly, including by vendors. The HMIS CSV export is your data: clients, enrollments, exits. The APR CSV is a different artifact built around the report's own question numbering, and it carries aggregate answers rather than records.
COMPASS produces the first one. Your APR is generated from HMIS data and uploaded to Sage, and COMPASS does not produce that upload today. Anyone telling you their case management tool files your APR is worth a second question.
It checks first.
COMPASS runs the data before it builds the archive and names the specific FY2026 required fields that are missing, client by client.
You fix them in COMPASS and export again. Nobody on your team finds out from a rejection notice three weeks later.
What COMPASS does not do.
You have been pitched by vendors before. Here is the part they leave for the third call.
The reporting side of the job, explained.
